How To Trim Your Luggage: Tagaytay in 2 Days

It's summer and a lot of people are heading out of town, prolly on to the beach for some under the sun fun. For those who try to stay away from the sun as much as possible, those who hate the irritating heat, and do not want to get any darker then they are now *ehem* there's always the option of going to plateaus such as Baguio or Tagaytay. Last March 23, my family, together with some friends, went to the latter.
It was only an overnight stay at the adorable Pina Colina Resort so we ought to minimize our load as much as we can for convenience' sake. Magically, four people's clothes managed to fit in one luggage.

My brother, Genda, who easily dominated our quaint room, the really heavy entrance to our room,
view from our window, and our shower which has a water heater

For my share of hocus pocus, I was able to bring two outfits that all in all consist of 3 articles of clothing, a pair of shoes, a leather jacket, and "some" accessories (which are totally not counted in space)---you do the math. Anyone who's anyone can do this by simply following some tips.

#1: A pair of shorts and shoes for 2 outfits is okay. Relax because Joan Rivers is not gonna cuff you for this one as long as you remember to make the torso your outfit's focal point. Wear a colorful or patterned top and beg for attention using complementary accessories.
Day 1: Rainbow pullover: Promod, Black shorts: Greenhills, Bag (a gift from a dear): Ninewest,
Sunglasses: Parfois, Black loafers (not shown): Parfois, Watch: Parfois, Bead earrings: made by me,
Rose ring: a lovely gift, and a mumbo jumbo of bangles

Headed to the Auto Rally Challenge after settling in.
Clockwise from left to right: Ate Jo, Ate Tanyam (my sister), Ate Vanity, and Kuya Gino, the participant we were supposed to cheer for.  Genda went mad when he saw the cars.

#2: If you're not sure which tops will go great with the same bottoms, choose two which are similar in color or material or both. This will probably help with accessories too since you'd only need them to match either one. I love pastels so I decided on a cream pullover with technicolor details and a peach top.

Day 2: Lace and knit top: Promod, Black shorts: Greenhills, Black loafers: Parfois,
Rose ring: gift, Sunglasses: Parfois, Bib necklace: gift

#3: Bring clothes made out of lightweight materials. After all, you'll be doing a lot of moving around and this provides space for extra things that you bring during outings like sunblock and swimsuits.

Loki: the ruuning babe who was my main reason for tip #3

My stay at Tagaytay felt longer than 2 days. Though I didn't say much about the resort, it definitely did not disappoint. It showcases a lot of activities like a swimming pool (which I didn't get to try much because of the cold, Tagaytay-staple weather),  rentable jacuzzi, huge trampoline we had so much fun on, and a playground for the kids. I recommend Pina Colina to families, barkadas, and company seminars.
If you're like most people who prefer organization and convenience, then it will be easy for you to follow those tips but I think what's most important to remember during OOTs is that you're going there for the adventure. Don't stress yourself over clothes and pack light. Clothing is just one factor of the experience and the rest happens throughout the journey.

Rolling and lounging in the grass, I swear, is part of the whole Pina Colina experience.

Regrets: Not being able to ride the Sky Eye: Philippines' Tallest Ferris Wheel! I remember telling my ate that it was only a ferris wheel and such and now all I can do is facepalm to that. There's always a next time, though.
